Last But Not The Least

This is a good day. I've talked to Monica and Isak. I've done most of the things that I have to do (though my formal report isn't yet finished). I've eaten a wonderful and healthy meal. I've laughed so much... and basically, I just feel good.

Sometimes, I feel like I need pain. It's as if life without pain is life without meaning. I don't understand why people can go through life thinking that it is exhausting because it's too painful.

In the first place, you can't be happy if you haven't felt sad. The irony is that life is a system in equilibrium. The forward and backward reactions are equal. If you've been too happy, you'll soon be repaid with the same opposite reaction (if you know what I mean), which also makes life the third law of Newton.

How amazing it is to think that Le Chatelier and Newton explained the world's greatest mystery without ever knowing that they had done it? How fascinating it is that "the mystery" is a mystery in "the mystery"!

How amazing Science could become! How amazing we, humans, are!
