HAV FUN SOULS DAY!

yesterday, dana and i went to make your own havaianas 2010 at rockwell tent. being hardcore havaianas fans, we had to haggle over cheap taxis driven by fickle-minded taxi drivers. we spent a lot of time waiting for a single taxi that would take us from rustan's makati to rockwell tent.

finally (after 50 million years), a miraculous heaven-sent taxi stopped at our taxi stand. even though our taxi was garbage-looking, the manong driver wasn't a snob like those other greedy drivers. he listened patiently to our outrageously wild conversations and high-pitched laughters, and he never smirked or raised an eyebrow! i thought everything was going okay until, well, until... our taxi's engine died while we're at the middle of EDSA. man, it was really hilarious and quite (just a lil' bit) nerve-wracking!

luckily, it was just a tiny glitch. manong driver was back to driving again. after a few minutes, we have finally arrived at rockwell. we had to fall in line (not just a line but a long and winding one) just to buy a pair of slippers! imagine that really! since i was with dana, who is a major camwhore, we took lotsa picture like these ones:

i am not vain. i repeat.

dana is vain. i repeat.

we were given this havaianas menu so that flip-flops shopping would be easy for the confused flip-flopholic!

finally after the super tragically fun and long wait, the doors to slipperlandia opened, and we were let in! unfortunately, my confusions and dilemmas over what top and strap i would be getting became more and more unbearable!

you see, these confusions and dilemmas were heightened by the existence of this havaianas slippers wheel!

the not-so-happy dana cause she wanted that top grape-mintgreen combination.

inside the havaianas photobooth!

yuki, the girl who blinged our havies, was pretty cool! she was always okay with everything. we had a hard time choosing our combinations because pretty much everything that we like were already sold out. so i had to choose the amazonia green-pink jelly top while dana opted for the mint green-grape slim. dana's blings were d-a-n-a silver letters and peace guitar while i picked the dolphin, flower, and letters pins.

yuki was having a hard time putting the dolphin pin onto the strap of my havies, so she asked her cute guy friend to bling it for me! he was really so gwapo especially when he smiles. drools. hahaha. dana and i like! hahaha!

we were about to pay when i suddenly realized that my feet didn't fit my havies, so i went back and asked them to fix it up for me. dana blurted out that my birthday was on 22, and in no time, i could hear everyone (well, just the havaianas staff) singing the happy birthday song. since i was such an indie shy indie (LOLS), i was embarrassed to the bones! i mean, it was like the whole havies folks rocked the tent to the tune of "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, YOU BELONG TO THE ZOO..." HAHAHAHAHAHA! But being the indie shy indie that i was, i thanked them from the bottom of my heart.

after exiting the flip-floplandia, we were again back to the reality that our parents were waiting for us with steaming hot sermons and lectures in hand! well, i couldn't blame them anyway what with the clock striking the 10 o'clock mark. so we hurriedly searched for a taxi that didn't came at all. we were so desperate that we decided to walk from rockwell to EDSA. however, the scaredy nature of us came out that we couldn't proceed to strolling along the dark parts of the avenue.

luckily, we spotted the rockwell security that took us to EDSA. ya, you see how adventurous and a-series-of-unfortunate-events-ish our night was! well, you see, that was the first time we got inside a police car! we looked like juveniles and delinquents! hahahaha! but really, we owed our lives to that generous and honest rockwell security officer!

we went back home at around 11pm after grabbing jollibee take-out meals.

everything was worth it just for this pair of havies! seriously. happiness like this :']]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]] is priceless!
