mama, jai, and i set off this morning to buy stuff for our floor renovation. when we arrived at wilcon, i was in awe with all of the floor tiles hanging like modernist paintings on the hardware's walls. i didn't know there were lots of floor tiles to choose from (not like i'm the handy kinda girl)! it was like i was transported to the floor build panel in sims, which is such a make-believe world ya seee?!
so because my brother is klutzy, and my mama is very particular with cleanliness and practicality aka cheapness, we chose a 60x60 peach-beige synthetic granite. the mr. mister there told us that what we were actually purchasing were the floor tiles of the hardware store! hahahahaha! yA CaN FeEL Ma HoUzZe LiKe wILCoN hUhHHH????
anyway, we headed next to the bathroom section. we needed a new toilet flush, which papa calls toilet fixture (FIXTURE = OBSESSION, therefore a TOILET FLUSH is actually a "TOILET OBSESSION" HAHAHAHAHA), a new thingy sprayer that i very much need when i poo, and that two-way thingy for the poo sprayer and the "toilet obsession"!
after we've paid, we then headed to cubao to have some kind of a mother's day lunch. mama was asking for something italian so i told her that we should check out bellini's or itallianis. because itallianis is kinda hackneyed, and bellini's is such a good vibe restaurant, we chose to have our lunch at bellini's.
it is never tiring to be in a place like this (after all the hustle and bustle we have struggled >_____>)
the ceiling and the walls are painted with renaissance/romantic scenes/figures.
the bathroom is such an awesome niche too! i can always answer the call of nature while feeling the vibe of renaissance europe!
mama's grilled chicken. not really a fan of this. taste's like barbecue grill.
lasagna for me baby! i like that it is gelled with eggplant, something to spice up its traditional taste! YUM!
while we were eating, mama kept on complaining that she didn't like her grilled chicken, and that it was really unbearably hot inside (poor poor poor set of aircons grrr). she was so disappointed that she said she wouldn't go there ever again. she harped on and off about the poor this and the poor that! she also whined about bellini's expensiveness (i told ya my momma is very very very practical and low-maintenance) yada yada yada.
mama and the not-so-aircon aircon.
ya see how unhappy mama was????!!! so after all the expensiveness and impracticality mama had experienced at bellini's, her hungry stomach was shockingly satisfied by a milky bread we purchased in breadtalk. how low-maintenance that woman is right?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
and even though i always tell her that she should appreciate the fine things in life, i do secretly admire that she is so self-sufficient, unselfish, independent, low-maintenance, strong, and courageous. her being oblivious to what the world would think about her is something i would always be proud of.
MY MAMA IS REALLY ONE OF A KIND! :"}
