Hello. It has been a very long time. So...
Today, I went to the park near my house. The weather was so beautiful and everything around me seemed to look peaceful and/or solitary. Being a child of the universe, I felt the need for a good long stroll in appreciation for the goodness and aestheticism of the world I live in. My bag was so heavy, and my arms were numb, but my heart was slowly buoyed up above the clouds (like water evaporating into the sky). I felt so strong and rejuvenated. I missed the feeling, you see.
I sat on one of the benches near the court area and the playground. I wanted to observe people in motion. And you see, I am slowly developing a strong fascination with conversations among kids. One example of this is:
Kid 1: WOW! AMAZING! This is the first time I've ever ridden a jeepney.
Kid 2: REALLY?! What do you do on your weekends?
Kid 1: Oh you see, I play dolls and stuff..... OMG! Where are we? What place is this? Is this Circle? But the sign says, North Avenue? Isn't Circle on Quezon Avenue?
Kid 2: You just wait. We're almost there.
Kid 1: No, we're not. You sure, we're going to TriNoma? TriNoma isn't on Quezon ave. And TriNoma isn't surrounded by trees. All I see are trees. Treeeeeeeeeeessssss!!!!!!!!!! Where are the buildings?
Kid 2: YOU FREAKIN' WAIT. I KNOW WHERE WE ARE. YOU. JUST. NEED. TO. FREAKIN'. WAIT.Anyway, I grabbed my notebook from my bag, and wrote thoughts that boggled me throughout the day, like:
DO YOU KNOW THAT CRABS DO FEEL PAIN AND REMEMBER IT AFTERWARDS?
(an excerpt from my 'new' notebook)
While I was peacefully listening to Explosions in the Sky, and sketching and writing on my notebook, an awkward capped guy stood before me. He asked if it was okay if he join me. I reluctantly said yes because (1) the bench is not mine. I do not have any right to prevent anyone from sitting/vandalizing/jumping/sleeping on the bench. (2) He wasn't actally going to sit on where I was seated. He sat on the bench in front of me, and (3) as if I could prevent him from sitting in front of me. I do not have that great power over a fellow human being.
But you know deep inside, I was annoyed because my inner peace was slowly falling apart as he began to fix himself on the seat.
I MEAN HELLO??? THERE WERE SO MANY UNOCCUPIED BENCHES AROUND US. IT'S NOT LIKE THAT ONE BENCH HAS SUPER POWERS THAT COULD TURN ANY HUMAN BEING INTO A BRAD PITT OR A BILL GATES OR A GAUTAMA BUDDHA. NO. THAT. ONE. BENCH. IN. FRONT. OF. ME. WAS. AS. ORDINARY. AS. ANY. ORDINARY. ACID-WASHED. BENCH. THERE. IS. ON. PLANET. EARTH. ARG. BRRGH. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR.
PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE ME. I AM ONLY SELFISH WHEN IT COMES TO A PARK'S BENCH AND MY INNER PEACE. SO DO NOT JUDGE ME. KBYE.
I wrote very distractedly on my notebook. Actually, I couldn't write. I just wanted to run and go chase my inner peace into the woods of inner peace. I was really very sadly disappointedly naively angrily writing without cohesion and precision. I was thinking of how I could politely ditch the very impolite guy. I could maybe shout at him or leave him or... I was actually waiting for him to say a word, so I could leave him rudely. Bad me. I know.
Then, while I was very sadly disappointedly naively angrily writing incoherent thoughts, he asked me again if it was okay for him to smoke.
SMOKE YAAAA??? OMYGAAA. VERY RUDE RIGHT?! AS IF HIS SMOKING A VERY CHEAP CIGARETTE MATTERS TO ME? AS IF I CARE ABOUT HIM? OH COME ON YOU VERY RUDE IMPOLITE INNER-PEACE-THIEF GUY?????!!!!! FFFFFFFFF@#^%^$#$$$@&^%&^@%#!!!!!!
So I answered him very very very politely , "I am actually going to leave soon, so smoke all the cigarettes you want until you get lung cancer and die in front of all these people. I do not care at all. BYE." Not exactly those words, but you get the tone. Ha ha ha.
I stood up right away and was about to leave when he said, "I just wanted to make friends with you. But you are already leaving..."
I did not hear the words he said afterwards - I blasted my iPod on until I could hear no more. Ya. So much for my short-lived inner peace. Very rude people?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On some other news, I think I could die eating Lanzones now. They are juicy, wet, and sultry. Please bear with the adjectives, my hormones are kind of... maturing. KBYE. Ha ha ha.
