The Cyclic Universe

OMG I cannot comprehend a single thing from Danielewski's Only Revolutions. :)) I really wanted to understand it all by myself, but man, I cheated! I searched Google of what's behind the book's unusual packaging and upside-down sentences. I found out that it was printed in such a way that its back cover is the front cover, and vice versa. So it's upside-down text is actually necessary (Hey, I really thought it has something to do with the concept of heaven haha), because how else can you read the sentences when you flip the book right? Also, each half-page contains exactly 90 words. So when both stories of Sam and Hailey are combined, they sum up to 180 words, which symbolizes the 180 degrees the reader must flip the book to read the other volume (either Sam's or Hailey's).

The pages of Only Revolutions look like:
(This is the eighth page of Sam's version)

Now look at Hailey's version:

OMG SEE THE SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES??? While Sam says, "My severity burning out her possible plans.", Hailey says, "My serenity wipes out his gall.", which actually tells a lot about how another person can perceive an event entirely different from how you view it. Say for example, a doctor and an architect are hunting for a flat somewhere in the metro. It's highly likely that the architect would be more inquisitive on the aesthete of the design and structure of the house, while the doctor, on the other hand, would be more concerned on the safety measures employed in the building. Gerrittt?

I also realized that as I read the pages of Sam and Hailey's volumes, my bookmarks (It has two bookmarks for the two volumes) will converge and meet halfway, then diverge once again! Perhaps, this symbolizes how Sam and Hailey run after each other. Their lives will intersect at only one point (at a specific time and location), which reminds me of the inseparability of time and space. Spacetime. Timespace. WOW! All the profound and interesting elements in my life are in this book. Politics, historical events, TIME, SPACE, PERCEPTIONS... THIS IS ME, ME, ME.

I got to say that it is officially the cleverest book I have ever bought in my entire life. It is so unique, I can kiss the arse of Mr.  Danielewski. Kidding shit haha. Everything about it is planned! The colors, the binding, the letters, the images... A REAL MIND-FLIPPING BOOK. Highly recommended YO!

I will buy House of Leaves soon because it's that book I can't get out of my head! All the while, in Chem, I've been thinking of how the pages in House of Leaves look like! It is as unique and intriguing as Only Revolutions. It even has an appendix and index, which are not typically included in fictional works.

AMAZING RIGHT????!!!!!!

Today, I bought Second Helpings, Ignorance (OMG I BOUGHT IT FOR 125 PESOS. AND AND AND, I REALLY FELT LIKE I WAS A TRUE BOOKSALE-EXCAVATOR BECAUSE KUNDERA'S BOOKS ARE UNIMAGINABLY RARE TO FIND IN BOOKSALE THESE DAYS. AND FREAKIN' 125 PESOS? POWERBOOKS SELL IGNORANCE AT THE VERY "AFFORDABLE" PRICE OF 585 PESOS! SAVED A GOOD DEAL HUH?!), The Outcasts of 19 Schuyler Place (E.L. Konigsburg FTW!), and The Reader (One of my most fave movies ever. Let's see if the book will awaken me once again!) KBYE. Exams are looming once again. Fak'
