typed on my mobile, "been used to motion and/or movement can't stay put anymore my hands grasped the keypads, there's no stopping me" on the way to gma station. the ride to quezon ave was a blur. was texting intermittently all day what with the turn of events and the unplanned/planned lunch and afternoon dates. felt like i was subdued by my growing vulnerability to social interaction via the sms technology. told myself, 'i like it always this way/i wish things are always this way'
was unimaginably late, but ayiene and dana were a delight --they didn't harbor any ill-toward feelings against me. we crossed the concrete passageway to get to the other side of the gma mrt station where trains are headed to the north of edsa. alighted at quezon ave mrt station, dragged our feet towards the walk, and spent a good deal of time at cb&tl. matured conversations humidified the air, as if we weren't playing by any social conventions. who cares if we scream the reciprocity of sex? we are who we think we are, fuck (feels like this word is utterly necessary) the rules.
walked the stretch of the walk with random stories we each sufficed in turns; we epitomized the movie before sunrise. ayiene asked rhetorically, "why haven't we done this before?". there was no better answer apart from 'indeed' which dana instantly sustained. seems like as summer stagnated our acad lives, it got more and more difficult for us to set things again in motion. uni life has now acquired a changeable quality that can affect our lives beyond uni, as if breaking the habit will lead to an abrupt halt to the momentum. this shouldn't be the case as the condition of having multiple and different personas shouldn't exist.
rode the mrt again. got off at north edsa station and parted at trinoma. ayiene and i stayed together until we reached sm main. bade 'goodbye, see you next time' to each other. i conclude that this day is unintentionally categorized through the mrt stations:
gma station: where we met
quezon ave station: where we came down to eat
north edsa station: where we parted
feel like these are the essentials for us to live on: to remember where/when we were born, what we have done, and when/where we died. timespace/spacetime proven yet again that it is the one tangible thing that we can grasp to when things are blurred by old age/sickness/faulty memory.
ps i could not thank ayiene enough for being the awesomest photographer! love you to bits x
