friday dais

friday was a very nice day and I am deliberately telling the world about this because all the things that I’ve done were efficient and well-thought about. the morning started with a quiz in 111. there was no denying that I was dragged again into the cesspool that was es13. I crawled my way to the borderline of passing this subject last sem, which was a success but what a magnanimous ordeal at the very least. so learning about principal/orthogonal stresses again was such a goner. but I did enjoy the lesson. it struck me that passing this course is a challenge. I haven’t put much effort in 12 and 11 because I knew I would pass no matter what. 111 is different, that I finally realized. sir albert is someone we should take seriously, someone who’s responsible enough to look up for difficult problems to make us remember that he has high standards. I would agree that I do like that attitude. don’t lead us into thinking that we can take baby steps to graduate. ‘every day is a survival’, a classmate once said in a social networking site. and I definitely could not agree more.

for lunch, I had my favorite mongo soup. friday is mongo soup day in lkb, so I was extra happy to see that there’s still some for me even though we’re late for lunch. sheila cathy and I headed back to engg, dripping wet and holding on to our umbrellas for protection. I have never said this before but I feel like i ‘m beginning to like walking in the rain. there was this afternoon where kei and I braved the impending storm, talked about the japanese and korean cultures, while disregarding the fact that we were all wet and muddy. we didn’t mind the storm and the storm didn’t mind us. and I guess we’re lucky enough to be gobbled down by the glorious rain and the earthy soil.

on friday, we also attended the app orientation. it was fun to see rose huddled at the back row. it’s always nice to see a familiar face in a sea of peculiarity.

I remembered telling sheila about how money instantly changes our moods. all throughout the day sheila was trying to reach her mother to ask her about her allowance. later the afternoon, I found her beaming with joy after she told me that she just receiver her needed allowance just minutes ago. on some days, feel like I hate the guts of people who scream kaching through what they wear/what they say/what they think. but there are days when I just feel like tucking in the arms of my mother and never come out of this materialistic place ever. let me be the innocent kid who doesn’t know anything about debit or credit or loans, those bullcrap issues. how can some people say that there is stability and security when they have money hidden in their oh-so-ever dependable banks? there is none in all actuality. what is cancer? what is unrequited love? what is war? can we all cure it with loads and loads of $$$$?
