remedied

i casted a look upon my father's sleeping form while idly waiting for the 7 o'clock news's conclusion. vivid images of the events that evoked tragedy and loss, and had taken place this year ran through my mind. across his pallid face i saw the years stretching out and nearing the edge of safety. i heard secrets and lies, and utterance of i'm fine's and thank you's. there is always a storm coming, was what i reminded myself. the implication is that i stand in an unstable ground/am in constant worry. i pay no heed to freedom because there's no such thing in this world we're stuck in.

I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better.
