lackadaisical

things that are of extreme delight: running, warm mocha cappuccino in the morning, the cold side of the pillow, late hours, trains speeding up and reaching the velocity of more than 200 km/h, porpoises and bottlenose dolphins, al fresco dining, volleying the ball and feeling omniscient afterwards, heartfelt e-mails & letters, unexpected presents bestowed out of sincere thanks and appreciation.

recent likings, blessings, things i will continuously thank God for.

thinking about uni, about events that precipitated in uni, has become quite an undertaking. i only remember those late afternoons where we, jenn sheila cathy regine & i, look down from the third floor, across the dizzying halogen lamps crisscrossing the wet streets, beside the sinking grassland. i remembered jenn's observation: the lights have made the garden look more alive, the depth is now appreciated; i suddenly feel nostalgic.

feel like here is another carved out version of me, a paper doll in this paperless world. told her how alike we are, how i also wolf down books to imbue my mind with intentions and ideas. she told me how frustrated she is like i am in writing, reminded me of her being a putter inner while smiling sympathetically as if saying i know how it feels like when words start to become distant friends. realized that this is all i need, someone whose opinions level with mine for me to distinguish friendship and conformity.

i knew i was becoming someone else, and it is too difficult to stay afloat when your head is underwater,
so i owe you thanks.
and it already feels like i am thanking myself
