i feel so restricted, and walking empty-handed, approaching the point where i can no longer feel your presence, makes me want to break down these egotistic barricades and run back to you. sometimes i feel your uncontested sadness creeping in me and nourishing this desire for deep-seated emotions. do i look at you like that? is the sadness i see in your eyes a mere reflection of what i call my own? does it matter? the rare moments when i am free are when i look into your eyes, translucent and honest, because i feel like am pinning down your emotions like the helpless frogs i dissected in third year biology. so this is me: immobilized by self-perceptions and constrained in this four-cornered bedroom. and there you are, a bird caged in a room filled with regrets. tonight, i want to break in and exempt you from the unnecessary pain of feeling everything so intensely that they seem to have an incapability of understanding
